Email Notifications
You can receive an email notification each time someone submits your form. Each email includes the full response with all field labels and values, plus a link to view it in FormGrid.
Notifications always go to your own account email. To send custom emails to other addresses or to respondents, use the Send email block instead.
Enabling email notifications
- Open your form and go to the Edit tab
- Click the More menu (the three-dot icon)
- Choose Settings
- Toggle Email notifications on
Notifications are sent to your account email address. Your email must be verified before you can enable this feature — if it isn’t, you’ll be prompted to verify it first.
Disabling notifications
Open the form settings and toggle Email notifications off. You’ll stop receiving emails for new responses immediately.
How it works
- Emails are sent shortly after each submission
- The subject line is New response: followed by your form title
- The email body shows each field that received a response and its submitted value — empty fields are omitted
- Each notification includes a direct link to the response in FormGrid
- Notifications are per-user — enabling them only affects your account, not other team members
Troubleshooting
- Toggle is disabled — your account email needs to be verified first. You’ll be prompted to verify it when you try to enable notifications
- Not receiving emails — check your spam/junk folder, and make sure the notification toggle is still enabled in the form settings
