Country

The country field gives respondents a searchable picker for selecting one or more countries. Every country is built in, so you don’t have to maintain the list yourself. Names appear in the form’s language with a flag next to each one.

Adding a country field

  • Click the + button between blocks, or
  • Type /country and select Country from the list

Settings

Click the drag handle on the left side of the field to open its settings:

  • Required makes the field mandatory.
  • Multiple selections lets respondents pick more than one country. By default the field is single-select.
  • Default pre-selects a country when the form opens. Pick one from the dropdown, or start typing a name like “Germany” to filter the list.

How respondents see it

The field shows as a dropdown with a search box. Respondents can type to filter the list (for example “ger” finds Germany), and each option shows a flag next to the country name in the form’s language.

In multi-select mode, picked countries appear as chips that can be removed individually.

Tips

  • Use the country field instead of a Multiple Choice field whenever you’re collecting countries. The built-in search and translations save you from maintaining your own list.
  • For region-specific forms, set a Default so respondents in your primary market don’t have to scroll.
  • If you only need specific countries (for example EU member states), use a Multiple Choice field with just those options.
