Page Backgrounds
The page background is what sits behind your form container. It fills the entire browser window and sets the overall mood of your form. You’ve got five styles to choose from, plus an optional Grain texture you can layer on top of any of them.
Solid color
The simplest option — pick a single color for the background. Clean, fast, and works everywhere.
Radiance
Radiance creates a soft, ambient color effect using three colors that blend together. It produces a subtle, organic-looking gradient effect that adds visual interest without being distracting.
Set three colors and they’ll mix together to create the radiance effect behind your form.
Fluid
Fluid creates animated wave patterns using three colors. The waves move gently across the background, creating a dynamic, living effect. It’s eye-catching without being overwhelming.
Set three colors and the animation handles the rest.
2D Blobs
2D Blobs fill the background with soft, colorful shapes that drift and slowly morph using three colors. The blobs blend into one another for a smooth, lava-lamp feel, and they react gently as you move your cursor across the form.
Set three colors and the animation handles the rest.
3D Blobs
3D Blobs add depth with rounded, shaded shapes that float across the background. Instead of separate colors, they use tone-on-tone shading derived from your background color, so the effect stays subtle and cohesive. Like 2D Blobs, they respond gently to your cursor.
There are no colors to set here. Pick your background color and the shading does the rest.
Grain
Grain layers a fine, film-like texture over your background. Toggle Grain on to apply it. It works on its own over a solid color, or in combination with any other style (Radiance, Fluid, 2D Blobs, or 3D Blobs), adding a tactile, analog touch that softens flat colors and gradients.
Tips
- Solid color is the safest choice if you’re unsure — it loads fast and looks clean
- Radiance adds warmth and personality without being too busy
- Fluid is a showstopper for forms where you want to make an impression, but keep in mind it’s animated
- 2D Blobs brings playful, colorful motion, while 3D Blobs keeps things calm and tonal by building everything from your background color
- Grain is a quick way to add texture and warmth, and it layers over any background, including a plain solid color
- Pair a semi-transparent form container with background blur for a frosted-glass look over any of these backgrounds
- You can combine page backgrounds with animated icon backgrounds for even more visual flair
