Theming Overview

Every form in FormGrid has a theme that controls how it looks — colors, fonts, backgrounds, spacing, and more. You can use a predefined theme, build your own, or let AI generate one for you.

Opening the Form design panel

Click the Design button in the toolbar to open the Form design panel. You’ll see all the customization options organized into sections.

What you can customize

FormGrid’s theming system covers everything:

• Form Container — width, colors, borders, shadows, and blur
• Page Backgrounds — solid colors, color gradients, and animated wave effects
• Animated Icon Backgrounds — floating icons with customizable direction, speed, and density
• Typography — body and heading fonts from 1000+ Google Fonts, font sizes, heading alignment
• Input Styling — background, text color, borders, and shadows for form inputs
• Button Styling — customize how choice options and buttons look
• Cover Images — upload or AI-generate a header image

• Predefined themes — one-click themes to get started fast
• AI-generated themes — describe a mood and let AI handle the design
• Custom themes — full control over every property

Live preview

Changes in the Form design panel apply to the form editor area in real time — you see exactly how your form will look as you tweak settings. Use the Preview button to see the full respondent view.
