Custom Themes
Want full control? Custom themes let you set every visual property individually — from text colors to animated backgrounds.
Building a custom theme
Click the Design button in the toolbar to open the Form design panel and start adjusting properties. Settings are grouped into collapsible sections, so you can expand one area at a time as you work through it. Every change you make applies to your form in real time.
Here’s a suggested order:
- Start with colors — set your text color, accent color, and background color in Form Container Styling
- Pick your fonts — choose body and heading fonts in Typography
- Set the page background — choose between solid, Radiance, Fluid, 2D Blobs, 3D Blobs, optional Grain, or icon backgrounds in Page Backgrounds
- Style inputs and options — fine-tune how form inputs and choice options look in Input Styling and Button Styling
- Style navigation buttons — give the Back, Next, and Submit buttons their own look and add a submit icon in Navigation Buttons
- Add a cover image — optional but great for branding. You can also shape the cover edge for a smoother transition into the form. See Cover Images
Tips
- Use the Preview button to see how your form looks to respondents — the editor view is close but not identical
- Stick to 2–3 colors for a cohesive look
- Make sure there’s enough contrast between text and background colors for readability
- When in doubt, start from a predefined theme and modify it
