Animated Icon Backgrounds

Want to add some personality? Animated icon backgrounds scatter floating icons across your page background. They can drift in any direction or sit still — totally up to you.

Setting it up

Click the Design button in the toolbar, then look for the Background icons section under page background options. Here’s what you can configure:

Icon selection

Choose which icon to display. There are plenty of options to match your form’s topic or brand.

Icon color

Pick a color for the icons. Subtle, muted colors work well so the icons don’t compete with your form content.

Icon size

Set the size of individual icons, from 4px (tiny dots) to 72px (big and bold).

Animation direction

Choose how the icons move:

• Static — no movement, icons stay in place
• Move to top — float upward
• Move to bottom — drift downward
• Move to left — move to the left
• Move to right — move to the right

Speed

How fast the icons move. Range: 0 (frozen) to 10 (zippy). A speed of 2–4 feels gentle and ambient.

Density

How many icons fill the background. Range: 1 (sparse) to 10 (packed). Start around 3–5 and adjust to taste.

Icon shadow

Add a shadow behind each icon for a layered, 3D effect.

Tips

• Less is more — low density and slow speed creates an elegant effect
• Match icon colors to your form’s accent color or page background for cohesion
• Static icons with an icon shadow can create a subtle texture pattern
• Test on mobile to make sure the animation doesn’t feel overwhelming on smaller screens
