Add and Arrange Fields

Building a form in FormGrid is all about adding blocks — fields, text, images — and arranging them in the right order.

Adding fields

You’ve got a few options:

The + button

Hover over any block and you’ll see a + button on the left side. Click it to open the insert menu, where you can browse all available field types and content blocks.

Slash commands

Click anywhere in the editor and type / to open the slash command menu. Start typing what you’re looking for — like /rating or /email — and select from the filtered list. It’s the fastest way to add fields if you already know what you want.

Drag handle menu

Click the drag handle (the dots icon on the left side of any block) to open the block properties menu where you can configure the block’s settings or delete it.

Rearranging fields

Hover over any block to reveal its drag handle on the left side. Click and drag it to move the block to a new position. A blue line shows where the block will land when you drop it.

You can also rearrange options within multiple choice and ranking fields by dragging individual options.

Deleting fields

Click the drag handle on any block and select Delete from the menu. This removes the block entirely. You can undo a deletion with Cmd/Ctrl + Z.
