Preview Your Form

Before you hit publish, you can preview your form to see exactly what respondents will experience.

How to preview

Click the Preview button in the editor toolbar. Your form opens in a preview mode that shows:

  • The full respondent view with your theme applied
  • All fields as respondents will see them
  • Multi-page navigation (if you have page breaks)
  • Your custom end page (if you set one up)

What to check

Run through your form as if you were a respondent:

  • Visual check — does the theme look right? Are colors, fonts, and spacing good?
  • Field check — are all your fields present and in the right order?
  • Required fields — try submitting without filling in required fields to check validation messages
  • Multi-page flow — if you have pages, click through all of them
  • Logic — if you use conditions, variables, or page routing, test different paths to make sure they behave as expected
  • Success page — submit to see the thank-you page

Form logic in preview

Preview fully supports form logic — conditions, variables, inline calculations, repeats, change-field blocks, and page routing all run exactly as they would in the published form. This makes preview the best way to test your logic before going live.

Redirects are the one exception: instead of navigating away, preview shows a notification with the resolved URL and an option to open it. This lets you verify the URL (including any @ references) without leaving the preview.

Preview vs. published

Preview shows the current state of your form — including any unpublished changes. The published version is what respondents see, which may be an older version if you haven’t published your latest edits yet.
