Generate a Cover Image with AI
Give your form a polished look with an AI-generated cover image. Describe what you’re after and you’ll get a unique image in seconds.
How to use it
- Click the Design button in the toolbar to open the Form design panel
- Scroll to the Cover image section
- Click Generate…
- Choose how you want to generate:
- Use form content (default) — creates an image based on your form’s existing content, no prompt needed
- Write a prompt — describe what you want the image to look like (e.g., “Abstract geometric pattern in blue and purple” or “Cozy coffee shop illustration”)
- Click Generate and the image appears at the top of your form
You can also access this from an existing cover image by clicking the three-dot menu on the image and selecting Generate…
Prompt tips
- Be specific about colors, style, and subject
- Mention if you want abstract, photographic, illustrative, or minimal styles
- Include your brand colors or aesthetic for better alignment
Color extraction
After generating (or uploading) a cover image, FormGrid extracts the dominant colors and makes them available as additional swatches in the color pickers throughout the Form design panel. This is a quick way to create a cohesive look between your cover image and form design.
